Description:

This is professional and technical work performed under the general directions of the Human Resource Manager.

The Human Resource Generalist must exhibit outstanding analytical and communication skills; expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills; excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment; exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training; communicating outcomes and effective at scheduling and methodical in the recruitment process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
  2. Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  3. Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
  4. Participate in the recruitment process by creating a recruitment plan and calendar, identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment acceptance letters.
  5. Lead and assign teams to investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
  6. Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
  7. Perform orientations and update employee records, ongoing.
  8. Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.
  9. Produce and submit reports as required.
  10. Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.
  11. Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  12. Generating official internal documents such as HR personnel action forms, offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters.
  13. Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
  14. Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.
  15. Creating  employee  physical,  social  and  emotional,  engagement  plans,  and  initiating/ overseeing activities.
  16. Assist in collecting, disseminating performance evaluations and professional development plans to department heads for review and signature.
  17. Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees to maintain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards mandated by authorities.
  18. Ability to taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.
  19. Provide training, Technical Assistance to employee on Human Resources policies and procedures.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

To be successful in this role, you will generally need the following skills and qualities: Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations (training provided)

  1. Efficient record-keeping skills.
  2. Proficient HR administration and people management skills.
  3. Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations (training provided)
  4. Provide status reports pertaining to assign task; and monthly impact reports.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  6. Excellent communication skills including effective listening, written and verbal communication.
  7. Handle confidential and sensitive information that must not be shared with other.
  8. Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  9. Efficient computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
  10. Require organizational in order to easily access and store many types of information on a daily basis.
  11. Possess conflict management/resolution skills.
  12. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  13. Perform other human resource functions as assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or other related degree. Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
