GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

This is skilled work performed under the supervision of the Center Manager. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of the facility indoors and outdoors including the playground.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Sleep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, offices, classrooms, walls bathrooms and all other areas of the center; sterilize and clean mops, brooms and other equipment used for cleaning. 

2. Dispose of refuse and wash and clean containers.

3. Clean lighting fixtures, windows, doorframes and other high places: 

4. Assist in setting up classrooms, moving education and kitchen equipment and supplies.

5. Make minor repairs to equipment and materials at the center.

6. Replace light bulbs, filters, deodorizers and paper goods. 

7. Store janitorial supplies; monitor supply inventory and requisition supplies as needed. 

8. Inspect playground each morning prior to beginning of outdoor activities, remove any hazardous materials and debris; maintain resilient surface around playground equipment.

9. Inspect parking lots and grounds daily; rake leaves, remove debris, hazardous materials and insects from grounds.

10. Perform other duties as required.
