| Description: This position is responsible for accounting; administrative and management work performed under the general direction of the Executive Director. The Finance Director oversees all fiscal operations of the Head Start program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Head Start Program Performance Standards. This role provides strategic financial leadership, manages budgets, ensures accurate reporting, and supports the program’s mission to deliver high-quality early childhood education and family services. The employee will be responsible for all internal controls and fiscal systems requisite to ensure prompt preparation of budgets, accounts, payroll, and other financial data required by the Governing Board, by law, government, and corporate authorities. Work includes giving advice on all fiscal matters, interpreting fiscal instructions and data, division procedural improvements and maintaining meaningful liaison with related agencies, and the independent, external auditors. |
| Requirements: A Master's degree in Fiscal Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with three years of supervisory responsibilities. Any equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience will be considered.
